Pilates for Beginners.

We understand it can be a bit daunting trying anything new, so our classes are designed to teach you all you need to know in a relaxed and friendly environment. Come to The Pilates Attic to learn the techniques under the careful supervision of Jo who has over 15 years experience. By practicing Pilates regularly you will see and feel a difference in your body and mind, and in the way that you move. 

Pilates has a unique exercise approach that creates an intense full body workout designed to improve your core stability, posture, flexibility, strength and control. Transform your posture, balance and body shape for the rest of your life.

Classes last 1 hour and are limited to a maximum of 12 people meaning you’ll get plenty of attention and a class tailored to suit you.

New term: w/c 19th March - w/c 4th June, a twelve week term.

  • Pilates Mat Class 12 week term - £132

 We provide all mats and equipment.

We offer 3 catch up classes per term (space permitting, and must be taken within the same term) so if you have to miss a class email us and we’ll see where we can fit you in.

We have a socks on policy for hygiene.

If there’s space it’s fine to join part way through the term

All classes, workshops and private sessions must be paid for in advance.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for private 1-1 sessions.

We have a strict no refund policy for classes.

Who are beginners’ classes suitable for?

Most people are fine to go directly in to a beginners’ class unless they have serious health issues. Lots of people choose to do a 1-1 session so they feel safe and happy to join a group class. Below are some questions to help us ascertain if you will need a 1-1 session before joining a class. 

  • Do you have any injuries?
  • Do you have any medical conditions (including arthritis, osteoporosis, hyper mobile joints)
  • Do you have back/shoulder/movement pain?
  • Have you been referred by a Doctor or physio?
  • Are you pregnant?
  • Are you recently post natal (diastasis recti)?
